Born in Greece, Eleni Fydanidou is a child and adolescent psychologist who lives and works in The Hague. A member of NIP (Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen), she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Greece and six years ago she came to The Netherlands to do her Master’s in Child and Adolescent Psychology at Leiden University. She has attended training workshops on ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) and PRT (Pivotal Response Treatment), interventions for children on the autism spectrum. She speaks English, Dutch and Greek.
Her work includes many psycho-educational exercises and a creative way of dealing with children’s difficulties. It also includes CBT (cognitive behavior therapy) and behavior modification techniques. She also focuses on emotional development since emotional intelligence is a key factor for children’s happiness and success in life. She is also working as an educational assistant in the Lighthouse Special Education in the Hague.
